I graduated from North Mecklenburg Senior High School in 2018. I completed my International Baccalaureate Diploma then as well. I started in the Honors Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill the following fall. I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelors of Art in English with a concentration in Creative Fiction Writing. I am a member of the Dialetic and Philanthropic Societies and the UNC Marathon team. I have since been involved in many debates about history, literature, and policy. And I have run my first half marathon and am training for my first full. I am also a Buckley Service Scholar and an activate member in the Chapel Hill Community. Take a look at my Volunteering Experience.
During the summer of 2019, I lived in Peru. While there I took a spanish class and taught a class of four to five year olds. The class I taught was a kindergarten class on the outside of Cusco, Peru. While I was there, we worked on colors, numbers, and the alphabet. I learned a lot about Peruvian culture while I was there.
Throughout high school, I tutored elementary school students three days a week. The students were residents of a trailer park near the school. Caterpillar Ministries proved food, tutoring, and transportation for all students.
As a founding member of my High School's Key Club, I helped organize our outreach. We would package sandwiches for local food pantries, pick up litter, and do other tasks.
